Extractions

We make every effort to preserve your natural teeth. However, extractions are necessary when decay, damage or other conditions has made the tooth unsalvageable. Advanced periodontal disease may also necessitate tooth removal. When a tooth is malformed, damaged, impacted or ingrown, different procedures are used, but all extractions are considered a form of surgery the degree of which depends on the individual situation. Depending on which tooth is removed, a replacement in the form of a dental implant or oral prosthetic may be a treatment alternative to replace it.  Prior to extracting a tooth we will help you to determine whether an alternative form of treatment is more appropriate based on all individual factors.  These will include how it may compromise appearance, the cost to save the tooth or teeth and how you can get the most effective and efficient use of your dental budget to take care of all of your dental needs.
